LSU football safety AJ Haulcy has been drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2026 NFL draft.
The Colts picked Haulcy with the No. 78 overall selection in the 3rd round Friday in Pittsburgh. The LSU defensive back improved his draft stock with his one year at LSU.
Leading up to this year's NFL draft, many draft experts projected Haulcy to come off the board possibly as early as late second round, but the majority believed him to be a third round pick.

The Colts suffered an epic collapse a season ago, going from 8-2 to out of the playoffs. In their final seven losses, five were by only one score. Haulcy sures up a shaky Indy defense.
Before playing safety at LSU, Haulcy opened his collegiate career at New Mexico before transferring close to home and playing two seasons at Houston.
Against Texas A&M this season, Haulcy had a monster performance with 12 tackles, an interception, two pass defenses and a pass breakup. That game closed out a four-game stretch in which he piled up 50 tackles, three pass breakups and three passes defended.
