The Indianapolis Colts have made a significant roster move, parting ways with veteran Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore. The team announced the decision on Thursday, marking the end of an era for one of their most reliable defensive backs over the past nine seasons. Moore, 30, had been a staple in the Colts' secondary since joining the team in 2017, appearing in 132 games and earning a reputation as a versatile playmaker.

Last season, Moore showed he still had plenty left in the tank, recording 55 combined tackles, six passes defensed, three tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks, and a pick-six touchdown over 14 games. His finest campaign came in 2021, when he posted a career-high 102 combined tackles and earned his first Pro Bowl selection. The Colts had invested heavily in Moore, signing him to a three-year, $30 million contract in 2024, which was later restructured in October to free up cap space.

In addition to Moore's release, the Colts also announced they are releasing safety Nasir Adderley and waiving linebacker John Bullock. Adderley, 28, joined Indianapolis as a free agent in April after briefly retiring following the 2023 season. Over his first 40 NFL games, he tallied 232 combined tackles, 12 passes defensed, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Bullock, 25, was claimed off waivers in January after spending the 2024 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he appeared in 15 games and made 10 special teams tackles.

These moves come just ahead of a busy period for the Colts, who are gearing up for rookie minicamp on Friday and Saturday. Organized team activities are set to begin May 26, followed by mandatory minicamp from June 9 to 11.
