Indiana football is already thinking ahead—way ahead. The Hoosiers have extended a scholarship offer to Bode Spence, a promising quarterback from the class of 2028. The offer came on May 7, as announced by Spence on social media, signaling Indiana's commitment to building a strong pipeline at the position.
Spence, who attends East Paulding High School in Dallas, Georgia, is already turning heads. He's rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, ranking as the 29th-best quarterback and 398th overall in his class. On3 and Rivals also list him as a 3-star, placing him 30th among quarterbacks and 373rd overall. His other offers include Cincinnati, Duke, Kansas, and Mississippi State—showing he's a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.
This move is part of a broader strategy for Indiana. Quarterbacks coach Tino Sunseri, now in his second stint in Bloomington, is wasting no time building for the future—just as he did in 2024. The Hoosiers have found major success at the position lately, with Kurtis Rourke leading the charge in 2024 and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza making waves in 2025. With Jameson Purcell already committed for the class of 2027, adding Spence to the mix could solidify Indiana's quarterback room for years to come.
