Lionel Messi delivered a masterclass performance on Wednesday night, scoring twice and setting up two more goals as Inter Miami staged a thrilling comeback to defeat FC Cincinnati 5-3 on the road in Major League Soccer.

The Argentine superstar, who now has 11 goals in just 12 MLS appearances this season, is in scintillating form with the World Cup in North America less than a month away. This latest victory propelled Miami into second place in the Eastern Conference with 25 points, showcasing their championship credentials.

Messi opened the scoring in the 24th minute when a poor clearance from Cincinnati defender Matt Miazga fell kindly to him, allowing the 38-year-old to pounce on the rebound. However, the hosts equalized just before halftime through Kevin Denkey's 41st-minute penalty kick.

The momentum swung Cincinnati's way early in the second half when Pavel Bucha scored from close range to make it 2-1. But Messi responded in spectacular fashion just 10 minutes later, finishing off a flowing Miami attack with a clinical left-footed strike from a Rodrigo De Paul cross.

Cincinnati refused to back down, with Brazilian playmaker Evander blasting home from outside the box in the 64th minute for his seventh goal in six matches, putting the hosts back in front 3-2. But Messi had other plans.

In the 79th minute, the World Cup winner turned provider, setting up fellow Argentine youngster Mateo Silvetti for the equalizer. Moments later, Mexican international German Berterame put Miami ahead 4-3. Messi then capped off the scoring in style, launching himself at a cross from Silvetti and striking it with his right foot. The ball crashed off the post and deflected off Cincinnati goalkeeper Roman Celentano for an own goal, sealing the 5-3 victory.

Miami coach Guillermo Hoyos was effusive in his praise afterward. "What they did today was brilliant, against a tough team and on a difficult pitch," he said. "It's very hard to play here. It's clear they're not here to stroll around MLS. They're here to play, to give everything, and to show the world that football is played here too."

For fans looking to channel their inner Messi, now is the perfect time to gear up with Inter Miami's latest kits and training apparel—ready for your own moments of magic on the pitch.
