The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings may have a trade in place for Jonathan Greenard.

That may not be true, though. It's a rumor circulating because of a podcast in which the deal was discussed like it has already been agreed to.

Regardless of the truth of the matter, the reality is this -- Friday is the most logical day for such a trade to happen.

That's because Friday is the second and third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

And if Greenard is getting traded with any draft picks involved, you'd think there'd be at least one second-round pick in the deal.

At worst, there'd be a third-round pick in the trade.

The Eagles have one second-round pick and two third-round picks to potentially deal if Greenard was indeed going to move.

Greenard, who will turn 29 on May 25, is a former Pro Bowler who is quite capable of getting after opposing quarterbacks.

But in 2023, he had 12.5 sacks, and in 2024, he had 12.0 more sacks.

Greenard joined the Vikings from the Texans for the 2024 campaign, so he's spent the last two seasons in Minnesota.

The amount of chatter around Greenard certainly seems like a trade could be coming eventually.

Whether it's been agreed to or not is almost irrelevant. If it's going to happen soon, it might just happen Friday.
