Adrian Peterson Jr., the 14-year-old son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson, announced on social media that he has received an offer from the University of Miami.
Peterson Jr. is a member of the 2030 recruiting class, meaning he's just entering his freshman year of high school. Already turning heads, he also holds offers from Baylor and Missouri State. At 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, he's a versatile athlete who plays wide receiver, running back, and defensive back—a true three-way talent with room to grow.
He'll suit up for Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas, but football isn't his only sport. Peterson Jr. also excels in baseball and track, reportedly running a blistering 10.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 22.07 in the 200-meter—speed that clearly runs in the family.
For context, his father, Adrian Peterson, is one of the greatest running backs in NFL history. The elder Peterson was a consensus All-American at Oklahoma, rushing for 4,041 yards and 41 touchdowns in just three seasons, including a stunning 1,925-yard freshman campaign. Drafted seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007, he quickly became a superstar, rushing for over 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons.
His crowning achievement came in 2012, when he rushed for a career-high 2,097 yards—just eight yards shy of Eric Dickerson's single-season record—earning him NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year honors. Over his 15-year career, Peterson also played for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks.
