Game 1 swung on Denver’s stars and free-throw advantage. Jamal Murray scored 30 points and went 16-for-16 at the line, while Nikola Jokić posted a 25-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double as the Nuggets erased an early 12-point deficit and took control after halftime.

Minnesota got 22 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists from Anthony Edwards, but Reuters reported Monday that Edwards is now questionable for Game 2 because of a right knee injury, after missing 11 of the Wolves’ final 14 regular-season games. That makes Denver the clear favorite to seize full control of the series heading into the move to Minneapolis.
