Matt Fitzpatrick has just strengthened his case as the top player on the PGA Tour right now after clinching his third win of 2026 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex won the team event at TPC Louisiana, where they finished on 31-under to secure a one-shot victory.

Matt Fitzpatrick is now a five-time champion on the PGA Tour, with his 2026 season alone comprising three wins, one runner-up finish and four top fives from his 10 starts.

Such phenomenal performances have unsurprisingly shot Fitzpatrick to the very top of the Official Money list for the 2026 PGA Tour season.

Fitzpatrick has now earned $10,550,238 in the 2026 season after his Zurich Classic success, ahead of the $8,406,430 that second-placed Scottie Scheffler has earned.

Cameron Young is third in the list with $7,694,670, followed by Jacob Bridgeman in fourth with $6,740,179.

And Rory McIlroy, who won The Masters at Augusta National, completes the top five with his total of $6,714,875.

Just after McIlroy, Collin Morikawa is sixth on $6,614,430, with Akshay Bhatia seventh on $6,114,402 and Chris Gotterup eighth on $4,543,363.

Completing the top 10 are Xander Schauffele and Si Woo Kim, with figures of $4,166,488 and $3,971,938 respectively.

Fitzpatrick has rapidly become one of the top golfers in the world, with the Englishman undoubtedly the most in-form player on the PGA Tour right now.

He boasts three wins in his last four starts, having recently won the Valspar Championship and the RBC Heritage.

And he’s now just matched a brilliant Scheffler feat, becoming the first player to win back-to-back PGA Tour events since the American in 2024.

It’s a simply stunning run from Fitzpatrick, although his brother does, of course, also deserve huge credit for helping him secure his latest victory, for which he is rightly being rewarded generously.

Along with his PGA Tour card through 2028, Alex has just earned a place in the rest of the Signature Events this year, along with next month’s PGA Championship and The Players Championship in 2027.
