Jordyn Tyson is expected to hear his name called early in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. How will the news reach his NBA brother Jaylon Tyson?
Jordyn, a former star wideout from Arizona State, is one of the top receivers in this draft class. His brother, Jaylon, plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers will face the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the NBA playoffs with a tipoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. on Amazon. The 2026 NFL Draft begins on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET as well.
Here is what coach Kenny Atkinson said (via Akron Beacon Journal):
"I know it's playoffs, but that's your family and your brother, so we're going to get that to him," Atkinson said April 22 after practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts.
The Cleveland Browns have two picks in the first round of the draft, No. 6 and No. 24, so perhaps they consider reuniting the two brothers in Ohio.
Either way, expect Jaylon to learn that his younger brother was selected in the 2026 NFL Draft while playing in the 2026 NBA postseason.
If the universe lines up perfectly, maybe Jaylon can even score a basket or make a crucial play during that exact moment.
