From walk-off homers to diving catches and lightning-fast steals, Indiana high school softball is heating up, and we're celebrating the players who are making it happen. IndyStar is proud to announce our Players of the Week poll for May 4–9, honoring the standout athletes who delivered unforgettable performances on the diamond.

This week's nominees come from across the state, bringing power at the plate, grit in the circle, and game-changing speed on the bases. Whether it's a clutch hit in extra innings or a perfectly timed stolen base, these players have earned their spot in the spotlight.

Last week's winner, Tippecanoe Valley's Kaitlyn Threlkel, set the bar high with a dramatic 12th-inning walk-off homer against John Glenn. The junior finished that game with three hits and capped off an incredible week with six hits, two home runs, and five RBIs. Can this week's nominees match that level of excitement?

We also saw some intense action in key matchups, like the showdown between Roncalli Royals and New Palestine Dragons. Roncalli came out on top, 6-3, but both teams showed heart. New Palestine's Payton Dye turned heads with her speed in the outfield and a powerful home run, while Roncalli's Jazlyn Lawson also cleared the bases with a big fly. Defensive standouts like Roncalli's Brooke Wolford and New Palestine's Cailyn Hurst kept the energy high in the dugout and on the field.

Now it's your turn to decide who takes home the title. Voting is open until noon on Friday, so make your voice heard. Scroll down to cast your vote and support the next generation of softball stars. Who will be this week's player to remember?
