The Carolina Panthers had a need for speed, and they got themselves some in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
On Friday night, the Panthers selected University of Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II with this year's 83rd overall pick. The 6-foot-4, 198-pound pass catcher is an extremely intriguing prospect, one that has the ability to stretch the field and provide a spark for the Carolina offense.
Just take a look at what he did for the Volunteers during the 2025 season . . .
Brazzell finished the year with 62 catches for 1,017 yards (16.4 per reception) and nine touchdowns. His work earned him a first-team All-SEC nod.
Despite some encouraging campaigns from young wideouts Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, the Panthers struggled to move the ball through the air in 2025. The unit averaged just 179.3 passing yards per contest, the seventh-fewest in the league.
Perhaps a little razzle and/or dazzle from Brazzell will help improve those numbers in 2026.
