The Monomoy Sharks finally broke through. After a tough start to the season, the boys' lacrosse team secured their first victory on Tuesday, edging out Sturgis East 12-10 in a hard-fought Cape Cod battle. The win moves the Sharks to 1-5, providing a crucial momentum boost.

Shea Gvazdauskas led the charge with a standout performance, netting four goals—including his first-ever varsity score—and adding three assists. Nick Garneau orchestrated the offense with two goals and six assists, while Owen Casey (one goal, three assists) and Brodie LaValley (three goals) provided key support. Goalie Harry Beaumont anchored the defense with 16 saves, and defenders Quinn and Vaughn Morris were disruptive forces, each causing multiple turnovers.

Elsewhere in boys' lacrosse, the Falmouth Clippers (6-0) remained perfect with an 11-5 win over Martha's Vineyard (3-2), and Nantucket (6-1) rolled to a 14-3 victory over Sandwich.

On the girls' side, the action was just as intense. The Nantucket Whalers continued their dominant run, improving to 7-0 with a 14-9 win over Barnstable. Caroline Curley scored five goals in a strong effort for the Red Hawks. Martha's Vineyard (4-4) earned its fourth straight win with a 13-0 shutout of Sturgis East.

In a tight contest, Falmouth Academy (3-0) stayed undefeated by holding off Sturgis West 8-7, thanks to five goals from Faye McGuire. Mashpee saw its three-game win streak snapped in a heartbreaking 13-12 loss to Hull, despite four goals each from Ciara Hendricks and Claire Howard. Finally, the Sandwich Blue Knights (5-2) delivered an offensive showcase, blanking South Shore Tech 16-0.
