Apr. 29— The Hayfield baseball team made a late push to beat United South Central (5-3 overall) 5-3 on the road Wednesday.

The Vikings (5-5 overall) scored four times in the top of the seventh inning to take the lead for good.

Ben Nelson struck out seven in five and one thirds of an inning for Hayfield and he also drove in a run.
