The Hatchet golf team had special night for the program as they celebrated the seniors, and the team delivered with a win over North Daviess 145-155 on Thursday at Country Oaks.

Washington’s Aiden Boyd led the way with an impressive 33 (-3) for the Hatchets, earning co-medalist honors with North Daviess’ Coby Loheider.

Patrick McCarthy posted a -1 (35) for WHS, Bensen Smith shot 38 and Tristan Zollars added a 39. Drew Jones shot 40 and Holden McCarthy added a 47.

“Proud of the way our guys competed and took advantage of the moment. Senior Night is always about more than just golf – it’s about recognizing the dedication, leadership, and impact our seniors have had on this program. Thank you to our seniors and their families for everything you’ve given to Hatchet Golf and special thanks to Coach Loheider and North Daviess for making the trip to Country Oaks Golf Club for tonight’s match,” said WHS coach Trey Miller.

The Cougs also posted some solid numbers. Behind Loheider’s 33 was Arron Marner with a 37, Lance Stoll with a 42, Khalil Wagler at 43 and Collin Lengacher with a 44 to round out the 155.
