The 2026 Pine Grove Area Track and Field Invitational was a showcase of local talent, as Cardinal Stadium played host to a massive gathering of 22 schools from across the Lehigh Valley this past Friday.

It was a banner day for the Schuylkill League, whose athletes dominated the podium with an impressive haul of 15 gold medal finishes. The team competition saw Minersville's girls' squad rise to the top, clinching the team gold with a commanding 91 points.

For Pine Grove, hosting such a significant event was a point of pride. "A lot of our Schuylkill League teams were here today, which helps us see where everyone is at in the league currently," said Pine Grove coach Lynne Delinko. "This is really good for Pine Grove. We're a small school, so to be able to host this many teams is incredible for us, actually."
