A new era is officially underway for Guntersville High School football. Less than a month after longtime head coach Lance Reese stepped down, the Wildcats have moved swiftly to name his successor: Will Lang.

Lang takes the reins of a proud Alabama 5A program with a rich tradition of success. He follows in the footsteps of Coach Reese, who built a formidable legacy over 16 seasons, amassing a 137-46 record, securing five region titles, and leading the Wildcats to the playoffs in 15 of those years. The team is coming off a strong 9-2 season, setting a high bar for the incoming coach.
