After two seasons with the Trojans, he transferred to Alabama for two more years, but never quite unlocked the full potential that made him such a coveted prospect.
What stands out immediately is Jackson's physical profile. He has the length and size that NFL teams covet on the perimeter, and his speed is evident on tape. But the production has been inconsistent — in 46 college games, he managed just 14 pass deflections and two interceptions. According to draft analyst Dane Brugler, Jackson "flashes the linear speed that made him a record-setting sprinter in high school," but his "cover instincts and understanding of the nuances of his position aren't on the same level." Brugler notes that Jackson is often late to transition from his backpedal and can struggle with match movements and tracking the quarterback through routes.
Lance Zierlein echoes that sentiment, calling Jackson "a smooth athlete with good size and elite track speed," while acknowledging that "the play and production have failed to match the traits dating back to his high school days."

If he can refine his technique and earn a role on special teams, he has the physical tools to develop into a contributor.
