LeBron James looks certain to focus on golf once he retires from basketball, with the American already spending plenty of time on the course.

James is currently starring for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA), but he’s seemingly planning for life in retirement.

And golf could take up the majority of his time, with the 41-year-old clearly a big fan of playing and watching the sport.

James was spotted struggling with his golf swing recently, but many fans have now noticed an improvement from the NBA legend.

James shared footage of himself playing the 502-yard par-five at MountainGate Country Club (South) in Los Angeles, and impressed many golf fans with his improvement.

One wrote on X: “LeBron James is now a golf influencer! The allure of being an Instagram star is too great. Even a billionaire NBA legend can’t resist. Props on the golf swing. It’s improved very quickly. He’s going to be playing a lot in retirement! (If and when).”

And many others were in agreement, commenting: “He’s improved a lot,” “Getting better king” and “It’s definitely getting better.”

Other excited fans said: “Golf swing got wayyyyy better” and “Impressive. Once he’s done playing, this will be a LOT better.”

And many others concurred, saying: “Wild to think he just started playing last year. Already better than 80% of the internet,” and “Swing has potential…”

Further positivity arrived from others who noted: “He’s got untapped potential. A competent instructor could have him hitting it 350 easy,” and “When he actually swings with his full range of motion he is going to kill the ball.”

Another golf fan said: “About where he should be I imagine… Gotta stick with it, and remember that one shot that felt so good… Eventually turns into a few more good shots and so on…”

There are certainly encouraging signs for James, who recorded a par while filming his content at MountainGate Country Club.

After holing his putt, the NBA veteran commented on his Instagram video: “Par it is. Wanted a birdie.”

Despite his disappointment, his efforts have certainly caught the eye of many sports stars.

PGA Tour ace Min Woo Lee commented on his social media post: “LeFades,” while Grant Horvat wrote: “YouTube channel coming soon.”

And his fellow NBA superstar and avid golfer Steph Curry commented: “No stress pars all day erryday.”
