Keon Coleman has not been the player the Buffalo Bills expected when they selected him with the first pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The wide receiver out of Florida State has 67 receptions for 960 yards and eight touchdowns in two seasons.
Disciplinary benchings and healthy scratches have marked Coleman’s career so far.

But, according to GM Brandon Beane, other teams approached the Bills to inquire about trading for Coleman. Beane said the Bills “shut down” those talks because they think Coleman will rebound in 2026.
“We’ve hit the reset button with him, and hopefully the fan base and everyone’s behind him. I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026,” Beane said on WGR-550 Radio, per ESPN.
The Bills acquired veteran receiver DJ Moore in a trade with the Chicago Bears and selected UConn Huskies receiver Skyler Bell in the fourth round of the draft.
Moore becomes the No. 1 receiver for star quarterback Josh Allen. Last season, Khalil Shakir led Buffalo with 72 receptions for 719 yards and four touchdowns. Coleman added 38 receptions for 404 yards and four scores.
Beane and new head coach Joe Brady, the team’s offensive coordinator for the past two years, praised Coleman for his commitment during the Bills’ offseason program.
“We’re excited about Keon, and he’s, the first few weeks here, it’s been very, very positive,” Beane said. “And I think you guys will see that in time.”
The Bills finished 12-5 in 2025 and made the playoffs for the seventh consecutive season. They defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round before falling to the Denver Broncos, 33-30, in overtime in the divisional round.
