When a general manager and head coach are truly on the same page, good things tend to follow. That's exactly the vibe Giants GM Joe Schoen is projecting these days, and for good reason.

In a candid appearance on The Insiders, Schoen peeled back the curtain on his relationship with new head coach John Harbaugh, and the message was clear: this isn't just a professional partnership—it's a shared mission.

"It started with the interview process," Schoen explained. "We were the first team to interview him and the only team to interview him."

In a league where coaching searches often turn into chaotic bidding wars, the Giants locked onto their target early and didn't let go. That decisiveness set the tone for everything that followed.

But as any football fan knows, landing a big-name coach is just the opening kickoff. The real test comes during free agency, the draft, and the endless hours of roster construction. And according to Schoen, that's where the Giants have been clicking on all cylinders.

"Going through free agency and the draft and the combine and the communicating on how to build a roster and a staff," Schoen said. "He put together a really good coaching staff. Felt like we had a lot of wins just from January till today."

That's a bold statement from a GM whose seat has been warming. But Schoen isn't just talking—he's pointing to results. A productive free agency period. A draft class headlined by two top-10 picks, including linebacker Arvell Reese falling to fifth overall. A coaching staff that's already earning praise around the league.

"The relationship's been great, you know, aligned in the way that we're building the team," Schoen added. "Excited to get everybody in here next week at rookie minicamp and see how it's going to look."

For Giants fans, that alignment is exactly what they've been waiting for. In a league where front office discord can derail even the most talented rosters, the sight of a GM and head coach rowing in the same direction is a welcome change. And if the early returns are any indication, this partnership might just be the foundation of something special in East Rutherford.
