New York Giants fans still aren't over the fact that the franchise moved on from Saquon Barkley, but the Giants have a chance to fix that mess in the NFL Draft.
Thanks to the Dexter Lawrence trade, New York now has two first-round picks, No. 5 and No. 10, so the franchise controls the early part of the draft.
Exactly where the Giants will look is unknown, with needs on both sides of the ball, but with two picks, New York can get a difference-maker with each selection.
And for NFL.com's Bucky Brooks, he has the Giants going in an interesting direction at No.5, getting Barkley's replacement, in Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love.
“General manager Joe Schoen can atone for his Saquon Barkley mistake by adding a dynamic weapon with gold jacket-caliber traits as a runner and receiver,” Brooks wrote. “Love will team with Cam Skattebo and Malik Nabers to give Jaxson Dart a stellar supporting cast that will help the second-year pro grow. Well, Dart can never have enough weapons, and with Cam Skattebo's play style, it doesn't feel like he'll be able to play that way for a full 17-game slate.

Plus, it would take the offensive pressure off Dart to make everything happen. Oh, and they get Malik Nabers back, too.
Yes, defense has glaring holes, and I'd imagine New York goes defense at No. 10, but if Love is there at No. 5, the Giants might see it as an opportunity that is too good to pass up.
