The Georgia Bulldogs have interest in elite quarterback recruit James Armstrong, who is a three-sport athlete

The Georgia Bulldogs have officially entered the race for one of the most versatile quarterback prospects in the 2028 recruiting class. James Armstrong, a dynamic dual-threat signal-caller from Hopewell High School in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, recently announced a scholarship offer from the reigning powerhouse program.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, Armstrong possesses the ideal frame that college coaches covet. But what truly sets him apart is his athletic versatility. A three-sport standout, Armstrong also excels on the baseball diamond and basketball court, showcasing the kind of all-around athleticism that translates directly to the gridiron.

During his sophomore season, Armstrong put up eye-popping numbers: 2,350 passing yards and 760 rushing yards, accounting for 37 total touchdowns against just three interceptions. Despite missing four games, he led Hopewell to a 7-4 record, proving his value as both a leader and a playmaker.

Armstrong's game is built on his ability to extend plays and keep defenses guessing. He combines a strong, accurate deep ball with the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. It's a skill set that has quickly made him a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.

Beyond Georgia, Armstrong already holds offers from a who's who of college football, including Penn State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, and Florida State. While he's currently unranked, that status is expected to change rapidly as more programs take notice of his rare combination of size and dual-threat ability.

Sharing the news on social media, Armstrong wrote, "Blessed to say that I've received an offer from the University of Georgia." The offer comes from Georgia quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter, as the Bulldogs continue to stockpile talent at the position. Georgia already has a 2028 quarterback commitment from five-star prospect Jayden Wade, but Armstrong's addition would give them another elite option under center.

For fans of Georgia football, this is a name to watch closely. With his blend of size, athleticism, and production, Armstrong has the tools to become a cornerstone recruit in the 2028 cycle.
