The Georgia Bulldogs are staying put at No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll after winning two out of three games in a road SEC series against the No. 24 Arkansas Razorbacks . The Bulldogs overcame to five-run deficit to destroy Arkansas 26-14 in a series-clinching game on Saturday. Georgia also earned an unconvincing 12-10 midweek win over East Tennessee State.

The Bulldogs pitching staff needs to step up. However, Georgia still has the best conference record in the SEC and their lineup is an absolute nightmare for opposing pitching staffs.

Before Saturday's wild win over Arkansas, the Bulldogs notched a 5-3 win on Friday and dropped the opening game off the series 6-3.

The Bulldogs have a record of 32-9 (13-5 SEC) have a very difficult remaining schedule. Georgia has the best record in the SEC in conference play and a half-game lead in the SEC standings. The Bulldogs are looking to host a Super Regional in the NCAA Tournament.

Georgia is ranked behind the No. 4 Texas Longhorns, No. 3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels, and the No. 1 UCLA Bruins.

So far this year, Georgia is 8-4 against opponents that are currently ranked. Georgia went 2-1 against No. 7 Texas A&M (road series), 3-0 against (road series) No. 11 Mississippi State, 1-2 against No. 22 Florida (home series) and 2-1 against No. 24 Arkansas (road series).

Next up, Georgia will play No. 3 Georgia Tech on Tuesday in a one-game series at Truist Park (the Atlanta Braves' stadium) in Atlanta. The Georgia-Georgia Tech game starts at 7 p.m. ET. Following the Georgia Tech game, the Bulldogs hit the road to play the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels in a three-game SEC series from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28.
