Spring practice has concluded for Florida State football, and the foundations for the 2026 Seminoles squad are starting to be set.

After 15 practices, including three scrimmages, head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles coaching staff will spend the offseason evaluating datapoints and performance to set the pecking order on the depth chart. Some starting roles have been established already, like quarterback Ashton Daniels and wide receiver Duce Robinson, but others are up for grabs.

Seminoles' bonified leader and star. Prior to spring practice, Norvell said that the team has Robinson's "DNA" and the returning senior is set to be the focal point of FSU's offense.

After transferring from USC, Robinson wrote his name into the FSU history books in his first season, posting 1,081 yards and six touchdowns on 56 receptions. He was only the 11th player in Seminoles history to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark, and first since 2019, which helped him be named a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist.

He could have declared for the NFL draft, but Robinson came back to challenge himself and improve his professional stock. If this were a Hollywood blockbuster, Robinson would be in the lead role, so what about his supporting cast?

Keeping with the movie theme, Micahi Danzy is the lead supporting actor for the Seminoles and Robinson. After making the switch from running back to wide receiver, Danzy announced himself to the country with 571 receiving yards and 217 rushing yards to go along with six total touchdowns in his redshirt sophomore season.

His Olympic-level speed was showcased regularly for the Seminoles last season, and his reverse sweeps produced more than one touchdown. He's expected to take another step forward for the program and become the true secondary receiver for the team.

With Danzy and Robinson set, the WR3 role is still open, so who can claim that? If Jayvan Boggs can remain healthy, it's likely his role to lose, but throughout spring practice, a pair of freshmen emerged that could challenge Boggs.

Both Devin Carter and Jasen Lopez were often mentioned by Norvell and other members of the coaching staff when discussing the spring's top performers. Boggs had an injury-filled freshman season, and it resulted in 109 receiving yards and a touchdown, but he showed flashes of what his ceiling could be on the field and in practice.

Carter and Lopez were both highly touted recruits, and while top prospects often can come in and be difference makers instantly, there is an unknown element to how well their games will translate when August rolls around.

However, the only way to find out how well they can play in those settings is to play them, which is the plan according to Norvell, with Lopez likely the starting punt returner. Carter is an explosive downfield threat, and Lopez is a silky route runner, giving the Seminoles two dynamic options.

While it's not a guarantee, those three are likely to be the main players when it comes to the spot behind Danzy and Robinson.

While Boggs, Carter, and Lopez all qualify as young receivers, they've already established themselves as potential contributors out of the gate. But which young players could add their name to this list?

Redshirt freshmen Tae'Shaun Gelsey and Teriq Mallory both have taken strides in spring camp and could earn some reps with Norvell's scheme, opening up some opportunities for both Gelsey and Mallory. Both players had limited opportunities in their first years in Tallahassee, with Mallory the only one to record a reception, 14 yards vs. East Texas A&M.

How much either sees the field remains to be seen, but both are tall receivers who could provide the Seminoles with a red zone threat.
