Apr. 25—➜ . Kentucky recruit Traxton Roberts shined for A-P, leading the host Trojans to a Vermilion Valley Conference win. Roberts struck out 16 in throwing 6 2/3 innings on the mound while limiting Westville to just two hits. At the plate, Roberts went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and two RBI for A-P (9-2). Ryan Edwards also helped out A-P with two RBI, while Luke Townsend added an RBI single. Ben Johnson and Gavin Long each drove in a run for Westville (11-11).

➜ . Champaign Central rode a strong pitching performance from Tre Cole en route to its fifth straight win after a Big 12 home victory. Cole struck out seven and limited the Wildcats to three hits in six innings to pick up the win. Ben McDaniel, Nic Bralts and Tanner Mast each went 2 for 3 for the Maroons (13-5), with Bralts and Mast each driving in a run. Ryan Pipkins added two RBI and Wilson McDaniel drove in a run for Central.

➜ . Brody Boyd threw a perfect game in the first game for Danville before Blake Warfield threw a no-hitter in the second game as the visiting Vikings swept a Big 12 doubleheader. Boyd struck out nine in his perfect game, while Warfield struck out eight in his no-hitter. Boyd and TJ Forman each collected three hits for Danville (4-13), with Boyd driving in five runs and Forman driving in three runs.

➜ . Fieldcrest scored all three of its runs in the top of the first inning to take an early 3-0 lead that kept GCMS at bay just enough to hand the Falcons a Heart of Illinois Conference home loss. GCMS (5-11) scored both of its runs in the bottom of the fifth to trim its deficit to 3-2. Graydon Leonard went 2 for 3 with a walk and had both of the Falcons' hits. Cameron Kaeding threw a complete game for GCMS, scattering six hits and striking out three.

➜ . A scoreless game through three innings didn't end in favor of the host Panthers. PBL (5-11) only recorded three hits, with Manteno breaking open the nonconference game with a six-run fourth inning. Dylan Vance, Kayden Vance and Pryor Inman each had a hit for PBL.

➜ . Dane Eisenmenger threw six no-hit innings, leading the visiting Rockets to an Illini Prairie Conference win. Eisenmenger struck out 10 and only walked two in a dominant outing for Unity (14-2), while also contributing at the plate by going 3 for 4 with three RBI. Brayden Henry was 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBI for Unity in its eighth straight win and his twin brother, Tyler Henry, was 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBI.

➜ . Eva Ronto gave up eight hits, but ended up throwing a complete game in shutting out Watseka and leading BHRA to a home win in Vermilion Valley Conference play. Ronto walked three, but also struck out five for the Blue Devils (7-15). Emma Shelato drove in a run for BHRA. Aspen Eades, Kyah Westerfield and Noelle Schroeder all had two hits for the Warriors (10-6), but it wasn't enough. Lilly Kingdon threw all six innings for Watseka and only allowed three hits while striking out 11.

➜ . Blue Ridge led 6-0 after the first inning and held on for a home Lincoln Prairie Conference win, snapping an eight-game losing skid. RJ Coffey went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI to power the Knights (2-12), while Olivia Jones was 2 for 4 with a double, one RBI and three runs scored. Ellie Hayward (1 for 3, two RBI, two runs scored), Presley Hardesty (2 for 3, RBI) and Addison Roos (2 for 4, RBI) chipped in on a balanced offensive effort. Keisha Budd went 2 for 5 with two doubles and an RBI for Tri-County (3-10), while Mialynn Christenberry (2 for 4, RBI) and Shelby Johnson (2 for 4, RBI) also had doubles for the Titans.

➜ . Undefeated LeRoy left little doubt with its latest victory, taking a 6-0 lead after the first inning and never looking back en route to a six-inning Heart of Illinois Conference home win. Molly Scheuer went 3 for 4 with an RBI to lead the Panthers' 14-hit output, while Morgan Fleming was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and two RBI. Kendyl Spratt (2 for 4, four RBI, double), Laila Carr (2 for 2), Alyssa Davis (2 for 3, RBI, three stolen bases) and Nellie Smith (2 for 4, two runs score) also chipped in for LeRoy (25-0). Jacey Hageman improved to 16-0 in the pitcher's circle after throwing five innings. She gave up five hits and struck out eight.

➜ . Centennial edged Charleston and Danville to win a four-team meet. Alicia Thomas led Centennial by winning the 100-meter hurdles (15.31 seconds) and 300 hurdles (48.10), while Nina Brown won the 200 (25.34), Alaina Kimble won the 400 (1:01.57) and Lauren Kleber won the 1,600 (6:05.02) for the Chargers. Jada Bell and Samanthan Brown each won two field events to lead Danville. Bell placed first in the shot put with a toss of 32 feet, 61/2 inches and also in the discus with a throw of 100-2. Brown won the pole vault (12-0) and the triple jump (35-91/2). Jamia Esther in the 100 (11.76) and Jazlynn Whorrall in the 800 (2:41.58) also won for the Vikings. Danville's 400 relay of Esther, Brown, Yariah Shaw and Jhe'Nyi Parker placed first with a school record time of 47.25.

➜ . Unity finished third at the 15-team Titan Invite, with the Rockets compiling 61 points. Eureka won the meet with 126 points, followed by runner-up Normal West recording 96 points. Emma Swisher secured the lone first-place finish for Unity by winning the 200-meter dash in 25.52 seconds, with teammate Jillian Schlitter finishing second in that event with a time of 26.42. Swisher added a second-place finish in the 100 (12.53), while Mackenzie Pound took second in the 3,200 (11:50.47) and Schlittler in the long jump (17-9 1/2). The Rockets' 400 relay of Swisher, Grace Wherley, Grace Tempel and Schlittler took second in 49.25.
