Manchester United fans may need to brace themselves for a major transfer blow this summer, as the latest reports suggest one of their top attacking targets is firmly off the table.

After securing Champions League qualification for next season, the Red Devils are gearing up for a busy transfer window. While strengthening the midfield remains the priority, the squad's depth will also need attention—especially with the increased fixture load that European competition brings.

The uncertainty surrounding Joshua Zirkzee's future at Old Trafford has only added to the urgency. If the Dutch striker departs, United could find themselves in need of a new frontman. A left-sided attacker is also reportedly on the club's radar.

One name that has emerged as a potential solution is Bournemouth's teenage sensation, Eli Junior Kroupi. The 19-year-old forward has taken the Premier League by storm this season, making a seamless transition to English football after his £10 million move from Lorient last summer.

Kroupi has been nothing short of sensational, netting 12 goals in his debut campaign—a record-breaking tally that makes him the highest-scoring teenager in Premier League history. Notably, two of those goals came against United themselves, with the youngster finding the net in both league meetings, each of which ended in a draw.

Valued at around £60 million, Kroupi has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain. United were reportedly prepared to open the bidding at £52 million.

However, according to The i Paper, Bournemouth have drawn a firm line in the sand: Kroupi is not for sale at any price this summer. With the Cherries pushing for European qualification, new manager Marco Rose is determined to keep his best talent in place to make an immediate impact at the Vitality Stadium.

To make matters worse for United, the report also confirms that Kroupi's contract does not include a release clause, leaving the Red Devils with little room to maneuver in their pursuit of one of the league's brightest young stars.
