Brentford have joined forces with Fantasy Football Scout to bring you expert hints, tips, and advice for the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season. Whether you're climbing your mini-leagues or holding onto the top spot, Scout’s Gameweek 35 insights are here to help you make smarter moves.

Gameweek 35 may not have ended in a win for Brentford, but it delivered a moment of magic: a stunning late goal from Mathias Jensen (£4.9m), set up by substitute Reiss Nelson (£4.8m). The first half was a thrilling back-and-forth affair, with 14 shots and several near-misses from Igor Thiago (£7.4m). The forward was inches away from connecting with a Keane Lewis-Potter (£4.8m) cross and looked set to break through twice, though the stats don't fully capture his impact.

In midfield, Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.6m) pulled the strings with a clever pass that set up a golden chance for Michael Kayode (£4.6m), only for the shot to be saved. At the back, Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.8m) stood tall with three fine stops from Harry Maguire (£4.4m) and Amad Diallo (£6.2m), while defensive bonus points were earned by Jensen, Nathan Collins (£4.9m), and Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m).

One player who consistently threatened was Dango Ouattara (£5.8m). At Old Trafford, he racked up 12 crosses and four close-range shots, including a back-post header that hit the woodwork. Over his last nine appearances, Ouattara has taken 15 shots, and since Gameweek 25, only two players have created more big chances (eight) per Opta. With four double-digit hauls already this season, he looks primed for a big FPL return as Brentford face West Ham United, Manchester City, Crystal Palace, and Liverpool in the final stretch.

For managers using a Free Hit chip or making one-week punts before activating their Wildcard, Gameweek 34 was a mixed bag. Popular picks like Xavi Simons (£6.6m), Dominic Solanke (£7.3m), Mohamed Salah (£14.0m), and Eberechi Eze (£7.2m) either picked up injuries or underperformed, while Ollie Watkins (£8.8m) didn't deliver as hoped. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest’s emphatic form reminds us that timing and form are everything in FPL—so keep an eye on those fixtures and differentials as the season winds down.
