Not only is the Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team going to be without Destiny Howell, but they've now learned Kyrah Daniels is transferring.

The Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball program is facing a significant roster overhaul this offseason, as another key contributor has decided to depart. Junior guard Kyrah Daniels, the team's second-leading scorer, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, marking the fourth Badger to do so this spring.

Daniels' exit is a major blow for first-year head coach Robin Pingeton. The 6-foot guard was a consistent offensive force, averaging 12.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game during the 2025-26 season. Her scoring prowess was particularly vital during the team's run to the WBIT, where she scored in double figures in three of their four tournament games.

This move continues a trend of player movement for Daniels, who will now be seeking her third program in as many years after beginning her career at Missouri State. She joins a growing list of Badgers in the portal, including fellow junior Breauna Ware and sophomores Jovana Spasovski and Alie Bisballe. Notably, Daniels and the previously announced Destiny Howell were the team's only double-digit scorers last season, leaving a substantial scoring gap to fill.

For Coach Pingeton, the challenge is clear. After rallying the team to a deep WBIT run following a tough 10-game losing streak to end the regular season, she now faces a substantial rebuild. Retaining and attracting talent is paramount in the competitive landscape of modern college basketball, and the loss of a top scorer like Daniels makes that task even more urgent as she looks to build her own foundation in Madison.
