The Oklahoma Sooners continue to dominate the softball world, and it's not just their historic four-peat national championship run from 2021 to 2024 that has everyone talking. As of Wednesday, Oklahoma is the only program in the country to place four players on USA Softball's Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 list—a testament to the depth and talent that makes this team a powerhouse.

Leading the charge is sophomore infielder Gabbie Garcia, one of just two second-year players named to the list. With only three games left in the regular season and postseason action ahead, Garcia has already shattered her freshman-year totals in runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, and walks. Her 22 homers and 66 RBIs rank third in the Southeastern Conference, proving she's only getting stronger.

Senior outfielder Parker has carried her postseason momentum from last year straight into this season, hitting a blistering .430 with 19 home runs and 57 RBIs. She's been a steady force in the lineup and a key reason the Sooners sit atop the national rankings.

But the real story might be the freshmen. Minor and Wells are the only first-year players on the entire Top 25 list. Minor boasts a .440 batting average—best among SEC freshmen and third in the nation—while leading the team with 66 hits, 56 runs, 11 doubles, five triples, seven homers, and 17 stolen bases. Wells, meanwhile, is making history. Her extraordinary debut season has her leading the country with 36 home runs, setting school, SEC, and freshman records. She's hitting .337 with 79 RBIs and a staggering 1.119 slugging percentage.

The Player of the Year race will narrow to a Top 10 on May 13, then a Top 3 on May 18, with the winner announced just before the Women's College World Series. For now, Oklahoma is ranked No. 1 and heads into its final SEC series of the season this weekend—a three-game set starting Thursday at No. 12 Texas A&M.

Whether you're a Sooners fan or just love elite softball, this team is a masterclass in talent, depth, and championship mindset.
