New Denver Broncos linebacker Taurean York could provide instant value to the team.

The Denver Broncos have built a reputation as one of the NFL's best at finding hidden gems among undrafted free agents. Following the 2026 NFL Draft, they've added 14 more UDFAs to the mix, and one name is already generating buzz: former Texas A&M linebacker Taurean York.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently tabbed York as the undrafted rookie most likely to crack Denver's 53-man roster—and it's easy to see why. While the Broncos missed on inside linebackers in the second round, they pivoted smartly by selecting "Mr. Irrelevant" Red Murdock and then scooping up York off the undrafted market. Together, they could shore up what many consider the team's thinnest position heading into 2026.

"The Denver Broncos didn't enter the draft with many glaring needs, but their depth at linebacker was questionable," Knox wrote. "While making a roster as deep as Denver's as an UDFA is a challenge, the talented, if undersized (5'11", 226 lbs), York has the goods to make a strong impression."

York brings a hard-nosed, downhill style that translates well to the pro game. Over three seasons at Texas A&M, he racked up 229 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and seven passes defended. He's especially effective near the line of scrimmage, where his instincts and physicality shine—whether stuffing the run or pressuring the quarterback.

That said, York is likely a two-down linebacker at the next level. To carve out a spot on one of the league's most complete rosters, he'll need to make an immediate impact on special teams. Expect him to push fellow rookies Murdock and 2025 UDFA Jordan Turner for a role on both defense and special teams coverage.

For a team that prides itself on finding value in the overlooked, Taurean York could be the next diamond in the rough. Keep an eye on this Aggie as training camp heats up.
