Former Nebraska standout Heinrich Haarberg is getting another shot at the NFL dream. The versatile athlete, who played both quarterback and tight end for the Cornhuskers, has been invited to a rookie minicamp with the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks.
Haarberg went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft, but the invitation gives him a chance to prove his worth at the next level. A Nebraska native, he spent four seasons at quarterback for the Huskers before making a position switch to tight end for his final campaign in 2025.
During that senior season, Haarberg appeared in all 13 games with one start. He hauled in eight receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown, while also adding nine rushing yards on nine carries. His versatility and athleticism could make him an intriguing project for Seattle's coaching staff.
For fans of the Cornhuskers, this is another reason to keep an eye on the Pacific Northwest. Whether Haarberg sticks with the Seahawks or not, the invite represents a testament to his hard work and adaptability—qualities that resonate with any athlete chasing their goals, whether on the field or in the gym.
