Following a memorable college career with the Texas Longhorns, Ethan Burke is taking his talents to the NFL. The talented EDGE signed a free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday after going undrafted. Now his focus will be on earning a spot in the Ravens talented defense.

In four seasons with the Longhorns, Burke recorded 114 tackles including 26.5 for a loss. He also added 10.5 sacks and six pass deflections to his resume. The Westlake High Alum, improved every year and was rewarded with a gradual increase in playing time. That was on display as his time in the burnt orange came to a close.

During the 2025 campaign, Burke saw his statistics increase across the board. He nearly set career highs in total tackles, sacks and forced fumbles. That helped pique the interest of teams such as the Ravens when Burke was not selected.

After going undrafted Burke was not the only Longhorn who had a reason to celebrate. His former teammates who signed free agent deals include Mason Shipley, Matthew Caldwell, Travis Shaw, Jack Bouwmeester, and Jaylon Guilbeau. That group should make roster decisions difficult as they look to prove that they belong in the NFL.

As the Texas native begins the next chapter of his football career, he is joining a franchise known for developing defensive players. That should benefit Burke, who is looking to maximize his skills on a team that has championship aspirations.

While fans will have to wait a few months to see Burke in action, he will arrive at camp motivated to prove that he belongs.
