Former Georgia Bulldogs edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr. has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks, giving the Super Bowl champions a high-upside addition to their defensive front.

Jones Jr. began his college career as one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2022 class. A five-star prospect out of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he was ranked as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 21 overall player nationally by 247Sports, earning a spot on their prestigious "All Freaks List."

After committing to Georgia in December 2021, Jones Jr. struggled to find consistent playing time in a deep Bulldogs rotation. Over two seasons, he recorded just 16 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. However, he did contribute to Georgia's 2022 national championship run before entering the transfer portal following the 2023 campaign.

His next stop was Florida State, where his production improved significantly. In 2024, Jones Jr. tallied 25 tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks. Despite the personal uptick, the Seminoles endured a dramatic fall from 13-0 to 2-10, prompting another transfer.

Landing at Oklahoma, Jones Jr. posted 21 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks, along with 15 pressures. He also earned his first College Football Playoff experience, recording a sack against Alabama's Ty Simpson in a 34-24 first-round loss.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and 262 pounds, Jones Jr. possesses the prototypical size for an NFL edge rusher. He'll now join the Seahawks under head coach Mike Macdonald, a former Georgia assistant who knows his potential firsthand.
