College basketball's transfer portal has another notable name, as Kentucky guard Collin Chandler has officially entered his name, according to multiple reports. The move comes after two seasons playing for head coach Mark Pope in Lexington.

Intriguingly, Chandler entered the portal with a "do not contact" designation, a strong signal that the talented shooter may already have his next destination in mind. This often indicates a player is following a coach or has a specific program targeted.

The Utah native and former Farmington High star has taken a unique path. A one-time BYU commit, Chandler originally signed with the Cougars in 2021 before serving a two-year mission. When Mark Pope left BYU for the Kentucky job in 2024, Chandler was released from his letter of intent and followed his coach to the SEC.

In his sophomore season with the Wildcats, Chandler proved to be a reliable scoring threat, averaging 9.7 points per game while shooting an impressive 41% from beyond the three-point arc. His pedigree is well-established; he was a highly-touted 4-star recruit and the 2022 Deseret News Mr. Basketball winner in Utah.
