Two important figures from college football have been named as keynote speakers for the 2026 UMB Bank Fiesta Sports Foundation Football Kickoff.

Get ready for a can't-miss kickoff to the 2026 college football season! The UMB Bank Fiesta Sports Foundation Football Kickoff, presented by Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, has announced two legendary figures as keynote speakers: former Oklahoma State University head coach Mike Gundy and former Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick. The event is set for August 21 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, promising an evening of insider stories and bold predictions.

Fiesta Sports Foundation executive director and CEO Erik Moses couldn't hide his excitement, noting that Gundy and Swarbrick "represent two of the most influential figures in college football over the last 20 years." Together, they'll share unique perspectives on the game's evolution, from the sidelines to the boardroom.

Mike Gundy, known for his iconic "I'm a man, I'm 40" press conference and decades of coaching success, has deep ties to the Fiesta Bowl. He's coached in the Fiesta Bowl twice and the Rate Bowl three times, making him a familiar face in the Valley. "I'm honored to be a part of this event," Gundy said. "I'm looking forward to a great conversation, reconnecting with fans from across the Valley and helping celebrate the excitement of college football."

On the other side, Jack Swarbrick brings a wealth of administrative insight. As Notre Dame's athletic director, he played a key role in creating the College Football Playoff, which includes the iconic Fiesta Bowl. "It's my pleasure to help benefit the community while sharing insider perspectives on where college football has been, where it's going and what makes the sport so special," Swarbrick said.

Whether you're a die-hard fan or just love the pageantry of the game, this event is a perfect way to gear up for the season. Mark your calendars and get ready for a night of football talk that's sure to inspire—and maybe even spark some debate.
