As Liverpool's title defense winds down with just two matches remaining, the focus is already shifting to what promises to be a transformative summer transfer window at Anfield.
The Reds face a significant rebuild, with several key players reportedly heading for the exit. Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson have confirmed their departures, while Alisson Becker, Joe Gomez, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, and Federico Chiesa have all been linked with moves away. That's a lot of firepower to replace.
But where there's smoke, there's fire—and Liverpool are already scanning the market for reinforcements. While RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and PSG's Bradley Barcola have dominated recent headlines, journalist Mark Douglas has revealed another name quietly making its way onto the Reds' radar.
"They are prepared to commit up to £75m to sign RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, with Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain another possible target," Douglas reported. "Antonio Nusa, who primarily plays on the left, is another on Liverpool's radar."
At just 21, Nusa is a familiar name to European scouts after his breakout at Club Brugge. However, his numbers at RB Leipzig tell a cautious tale: 10 goals and 11 assists in 62 appearances. Compare that to Diomande, who has managed 13 goals and 9 assists in his debut season since an £18m move from Leganes—and he's two years younger.
On paper, Diomande's output looks sharper, but spending £75m on a player after just one breakthrough season is a gamble that could backfire. Nusa, meanwhile, might offer a more cost-effective alternative with room to grow. For Liverpool, the summer chess match is just beginning.
