High school spring sports are entering the playoffs beginning Tuesday.

Soccer concluded its region play and declared its seedings over the weekend and are now gearing up for the GHSA-wide competition to start April 22. Top-seeded Oconee County girls had a scheduling issue with another sport, so they kicked off the tournament early on Monday, April 20, with a 10-0 win against 32-seed Riverdale.

As usual, the first, second, quarterfinal and semifinals rounds will be hosted by the higher seed in each matchup. Here's the first and second round schedule breakdown, which is always split up by classification and gender:

The quarterfinals will be May 4-5 and the semifinals May 7-8. If two of the same seeds are paired, a universal coin toss will be used to determine the host.

The championships are slated for May 12-15. There will be three host sites for the finals, with classifications set for each destination. Two classes will be held at Upson-Lee and St. Pius X each, while the remaining four classes will be held at Duluth. Here's the schedule breakdown:

Both days: Girls play at 4 p.m., boys play at 6:30 p.m.

Both days: Girls play at 5 p.m., boys play at 7:30 p.m.

All days: Girls play at 5 p.m., boys play at 7:30 p.m.

GIAA-wide competition does not begin until May 8-9 and will conclude May 26-27 at Stratford Academy in Macon.
