Another 1-3 week for the Florida baseball program led to a three-spot drop in the USA TODAY Sports Baseball Coaches Poll.

The Gators are clinging to a top-25 spot at the bottom of the rankings following home losses to Jacksonville and the Texas A&M Aggies. Once again, Florida only managed to win its series opener against an SEC opponent, with the offense falling flat whenever Aidan King wasn't on the mound.

Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan pointed to a pattern of poor offensive approaches and defensive miscues in these losses for his club after Sunday's loss.

"Pretty typical of the way we've been losing games this year," O'Sullivan said. "We had an error, led to a run; we bobbled the ball in left, led to a run... We got thrown out at the plate in the eighth, down three... We gave up five runs on a Sunday, and we scored one run... I'm just disappointed in the fact that we only had four hits over the last five innings on fastballs."

The Gators are within five poll points of the No. 24 Virginia Cavaliers and 74 points ahead of de facto No. 26 Jacksonville State.

Florida doesn't have a midweek game and will pick up SEC play on the road against the No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners on Friday.

The Texas Longhorns are still the top-ranked SEC team at No. 4 overall, followed by the Georgia Bulldogs (No. 5), the Texas A&M Aggies (No. 7), the Auburn Tigers (No. 8) and the Mississippi State Bulldogs (No. 9) — all of whom also sit among the top 10.

The Oklahoma Sooners (No. 14), Ole Miss Rebels (No. 18), Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 22), Alabama Crimson Tide (No. 15) and Florida (No. 25) round out the conference's representation among the top 25.

The Tennessee Volunteers earned 17 points in this week's poll.

Jacksonville State 25; Miami (FL) 20; Tennessee 17; Cincinnati 15; UCF 7; Pitt 6; UTSA 3; Oklahoma State 3; Missouri State 1; East Carolina 1
