Kennedy Moore, the former Flathead High School basketball star, is on the move. After two seasons with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the guard has entered the NCAA transfer portal, looking for a new home with two years of eligibility still on the clock.
Moore announced her decision on March 31st via an Instagram statement, expressing gratitude for her time in Winston-Salem. "Being a part of the Wake Forest program has meant a lot to me," she wrote. "I’m thankful for the opportunity, the experiences, and the people I've met along the way. After taking time to step back and think about what is best for me and my future, I've decided to enter the transfer portal."
Her collegiate career shows a clear trajectory of growth. After appearing in 22 games as a freshman, Moore earned 10 starts in her sophomore campaign, playing in 32 contests. She averaged 2.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, with a career-high 15-point performance against Morgan State highlighting her potential as a scoring threat.
This next chapter is a chance for Moore to build on the foundation she established in high school, where she was a dominant force for Flathead. A three-time All-Conference selection, she led her team in both scoring and rebounding for three straight seasons and was instrumental in their run to the 2023 state championship game. Her elite athleticism was further proven on the volleyball court and in track & field, where she earned state-level recognition.
As the transfer portal heats up, Moore's blend of experience, athletic versatility, and proven development makes her an intriguing prospect for programs looking to add backcourt depth and a player with a winning pedigree.
