Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has issued a bold ultimatum to the club's hierarchy: match his ambition, or he's out the door. After steering the Whites to Premier League safety with three games to spare in their first season back in the top flight, the 49-year-old German is already looking ahead—and he's not interested in simply "maintaining the status quo."

"I'm not the right choice if it's about just surviving," Farke said ahead of Sunday's final home game against Brighton. "I love attractive football, perhaps for sides in the top half of the table. I love to be a manager who plays for something rather than to avoid something."

Farke, who took over at Elland Road in 2023, has delivered on every target set during his arrival. Leeds currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, eight points clear of the relegation zone, and have even reached their first FA Cup semi-final since 1987 this season. But for the former Norwich City boss, that's not enough.

"I'm ambitious, and this is quite important for me going forward," Farke explained. "I have to be convinced of a project, and I am at my best when I buy into one. I can be picky and choose what I am convinced of."

Despite the strong words, Farke insists there's "no doubt in my head" that he wants to stay on as manager. The question is whether Leeds can match his vision for the next "project" at Elland Road—one that goes beyond mere survival and aims for something greater.
