The final buzzer has sounded on another thrilling NCHSAA boys basketball season in Fayetteville, and now the spotlight turns to you. It's time to crown the Fans' Choice 910Preps Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Who left the biggest mark on the court this season?

This year was packed with historic performances and unforgettable stories. E.E. Smith's incredible run to the 6A East regional finals was powered by sophomore Nick Smith and junior Jackson Williams. Over in the NCISAA, Georgetown signee Justin Caldwell put on a masterclass, dropping 25.4 points per game and eclipsing 2,000 career points on his way to a conference Player of the Year award. His teammate, Karsten Swinney, entered the history books by surpassing 3,000 career points—a feat only two other players in NC high school history have achieved.

The talent was spread across every conference. In the Eastern Sandhills, sophomore Marcus "MJ" McDuffie earned Player of the Year honors for leading the resurgence of Douglas Byrd's program. Meanwhile, Mason Walker's stellar play helped Terry Sanford secure a league title and his own Tri-County Conference Player of the Year award.

Now, it's your turn to decide who deserves the ultimate fan recognition. We've highlighted some of the top contenders below. From the versatile wing play of E.E. Smith's Pat Barber to the dominant inside presence of Fayetteville Academy's Justin Caldwell, each player brought something special to the hardwood this year.

Voting is unlimited and will close on Wednesday, April 22. Don't forget, when you cast your vote for your athlete, please send a clear headshot photo to jfmoore@usatodayco.com to help us recognize them properly.

Let your voice be heard and help us celebrate the best of Fayetteville high school basketball!
