The 2026 NFL Draft is officially in the books and the Atlanta Falcons have to be fairly happy with their haul. Despite not having a first-round pick, the team left the draft with six new players and over a dozen undrafted free agents.
The Falcons made another front office addition on Tuesday evening, hiring a new senior vice president of football administration/senior personnel executive to work with general manager Ian Cunningham and president of football Matt Ryan.
In today's Falcons recap, Atlanta's rookie uniform numbers are revealed, the team makes front office changes, and we examine the latest 2026 NFL Draft grades and undrafted free agent signings.
The Falcons unveiled their rookie uniform numbers (not including their undrafted free agent signings) on Tuesday. Cornerback Avieon Terrell will wear the No. 12, while second-round pick Zachariah Branch will wear the No. 17. Check out all six rookie uniform numbers below:
The Falcons have hired former Eagles front office exec Bryce Johnston to be their senior vice president of football administration/senior personnel executive, the team officially announced on Tuesday. Atlanta has also parted ways with senior director of football of administration Chris Olsen.
"We're excited to add Bryce to our staff," Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham said in a statement. "He's an outstanding professional and someone I know well from our time together in Philadelphia. During those five years, it was clear that Bryce brought a high level of preparation, leadership and attention to detail to everything he did. I saw firsthand his ability to combine long-term vision with a detailed and disciplined approach. We're thrilled to welcome him to our organization and look forward to the impact he'll have as we continue building this team."
The 2026 NFL Draft is over and the draft grades are out. While most analysts praised Atlanta's Day 2 selections, there was a fair amount of uncertainty around the team's Day 3 picks. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco gave Atlanta a C grade, while ESPN's Mel Kiper gave the Falcons a C+:
"It's tough to tackle needs with just five non-first-rounders at your disposal, but the new Falcons braintrust of GM Ian Cunningham, coach Kevin Stefanski and president of football Matt Ryan did its best," wrote Kiper. "And I think the Falcons left Day 2 with two really, really good players. Both Avieon Terrell and Zachariah Branch spent time in my top 25 during the season, and they were both on my favorite players in the class list."
The Falcons have reportedly agreed to terms with 16 undrafted free agents, however, they've yet to officially announce the class. Check out each reported UDFA signing below:
