In an exclusive interview with Get French Football News, former France, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Everton striker Louis Saha opened up about the legendary teammates he's shared the pitch with—and the one he calls a "cyborg."

When asked to name the best player he's ever played alongside, Saha didn't hesitate to put Cristiano Ronaldo in a league of his own. "He is a cyborg!" Saha exclaimed, reflecting on the Portuguese superstar's relentless work ethic and otherworldly consistency. "The way he trains, the way he pushes himself—it's like he's not human. He's programmed to be the best, every single day."

But Saha also had high praise for Zinedine Zidane, though he was careful not to disrespect the French icon. "Without disrespecting 'ZZ,' who is obviously a genius, Ronaldo's dedication and physicality set him apart. He's a machine built for greatness."

The conversation then shifted to underrated talents, and Saha was quick to highlight a former teammate who never got the recognition he deserved. "Sylvain Distin," Saha said with a smile. "I've always teased him because I never understood why he wasn't selected for the full France team. He played in a huge number of Premier League games—among French players, he must be near the top for appearances. He had stiff competition, like William Gallas, Michaël Silvestre, and Jean-Alain Boumsong, but Sylvain was at the same level. It's incomprehensible to me that he never received a call-up."

Saha also reserved special praise for Ledley King, another teammate whose resilience left a lasting impression. "I played with him for four or five months at Tottenham. He was physically diminished, but you would never know it on the pitch because of his mentality and his ability to adapt. Ledley King is a legend in that sense."

Whether it's the cyborg-like perfection of Ronaldo or the quiet brilliance of underrated stars like Distin and King, Saha's insights remind us that greatness comes in many forms—and that sometimes, the most memorable players are the ones who defy expectations.
