The San Francisco 49ers are officially investing in their future, and two former Washington Huskies are leading the charge. On Friday, as rookie minicamps kicked off across the NFL, cornerback Ephesians Prysock and offensive lineman Carver Willis signed their first professional contracts, marking a major milestone in their football journeys.
Selected just 12 picks apart in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft—Willis at No. 127 overall and Prysock at No. 139—the duo wasted no time getting to work. They hit the field in Santa Clara wearing No. 74 and No. 41, respectively, ready to prove they belong at the next level.
For Willis, a Kansas State transfer who anchored the Huskies' offensive line, the transition begins at left guard. His four-year rookie deal is projected to be worth approximately $5.4 million. Prysock, who brought shutdown coverage skills from Arizona to Washington, secured a similar four-year contract valued at around $5.1 million, according to Over The Cap.
They join Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher Zach Durfee (seventh round) and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Denzel Boston (second round) as the fourth and fifth UW draft picks to officially sign. That leaves just three Huskies still waiting for their ink to dry: Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Tacario Davis, Denver Broncos running back Jonah Coleman, and Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Anterio Thompson.
Prysock’s path to the pros is a story of continuity. He started 26 games over two seasons at UW, reuniting with head coach Jedd Fisch and secondary coach John Richardson—the same coaching staff he played for at Arizona. His former cornerback partner, Tacario Davis, was assigned No. 20 by the Bengals as rookie minicamp began, though he remains one of only two Cincinnati draft picks yet to sign.
Meanwhile, Thompson has already claimed a notable jersey number in Atlanta: No. 98, previously worn by 2007 first-round pick Jamaal Anderson and fan-favorite pass rusher Takkarist McKinley. Coleman, one of three Broncos draft picks, is still working toward his deal as Denver’s camp gets underway.
With minicamp now in full swing, these Huskies are trading the purple and gold for NFL colors—and the next chapter of their careers is just beginning.
