Cameron Jordan remains one of the most intriguing names left on the free-agent market, and while the veteran pass rusher waits for the perfect landing spot, speculation is heating up about a potential move to Chicago. The Bears are in clear need of edge help, but according to Jordan's former head coach, now Chicago defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, a reunion might not be in the cards.

"Cam's going to be a frickin' Hall of Fame player—is a Hall of Fame player," Allen told ESPN's Courtney Cronin, catching himself mid-sentence. "I don't know that there's been a ton of discussion about that. I think we feel pretty good about where we're at and what we have, and yet, you never know what opportunities might present themselves down the road."

Allen's comments come with plenty of context. He was hired as the Bears' defensive coordinator shortly after being fired as Saints head coach, a period during which Jordan's frustrations with an uncomfortable role in the defense boiled over during a seven-game losing streak. But time has a way of smoothing things over, and as Allen noted, the NFL landscape can shift quickly.

Still, the numbers suggest Chicago isn't the most logical fit. The Bears are already spending $53.2 million on their edge rushers this season—the fifth-highest total in the league—thanks to big-money deals for Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo. With Jordan hoping to secure one last meaningful payday, he may find better opportunities elsewhere.

For now, the eight-time Pro Bowler and Saints' all-time sacks leader remains patient, with a couple of offers reportedly on the table but no decision made. Whether he ends up in a Bears uniform or not, one thing is certain: Jordan's next chapter will be one to watch, and for fans looking to rep their favorite pass rusher, the right gear is always in season.
