When Emil Krafth first pulled on the black-and-white stripes of Newcastle United, he was living out a childhood dream. "I was very happy and super excited to sign for Newcastle," the Swedish defender recalls with genuine warmth. "It had always been a dream of mine to play in the Premier League and, when Newcastle came, I didn't hesitate at all."

Now, seven seasons into his Magpies career, that passion hasn't dimmed one bit. "If I could stay for seven more years, I would do it!" he says, and you can almost hear the smile in his voice.

Looking back through the photo album of his time on Tyneside, certain moments stand out like beacons. His first win with the club came away at Tottenham—a gritty performance that set the tone for the battles ahead. "We had a tough start to the season after we lost the first two games against Arsenal and Norwich," Krafth remembers. "My memory of the game itself is not the best, but it is an awesome picture with me and Fabi (Schar), who I have spent a lot of time with."

For Krafth, those celebrations in front of the traveling supporters hold special meaning. "To be able to celebrate with them after a game was always something fantastic. They sacrifice a lot, spending money to travel and their time to watch us. If we can give something back, that's great."

His home debut against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup remains etched in his memory. "It meant a lot to play at St. James' Park. It's goosebumps every time you walk out there. Being able to do that for seven years is quite rare. Your home debut is always something special that you're always going to remember. I'm going to miss that place a lot."

Then there was that unforgettable clash against Everton—the kind of game that defines a team's character. "Was this when we scored twice in the last minute? Florian (Lejeune) scored both and it was a crazy game!" Krafth says, the excitement still fresh. "It showed our mentality and that feeling of it never being over until it's over. Even though we didn't win, it felt like a victory because of scoring so late."

He chuckles at the memory of his near-miss. "When Florian hit the ball, the goalkeeper saved it and I was on the rebound, trying to tap it in. I should've scored, but thankfully it had already crossed the line. It was a brilliant ending!"

From empty stadiums during the COVID era to the thunderous roar of a packed St. James' Park, Krafth has experienced the full spectrum of what it means to be a Newcastle player. For fans looking to channel that same fighting spirit, his journey is a reminder that every great comeback starts with belief—and the right gear to see it through.
