If there was any doubt that Elliot Cadeau wasn’t going to return to Michigan for another season, that was officially put to rest.

Any lingering questions about Elliot Cadeau's future with Michigan basketball have been decisively answered. The point guard is officially running it back.

Following an ESPN report on Thursday, Cadeau confirmed the news himself on Instagram with a simple, powerful message: "Let's do it again." The announcement was met with immediate excitement from the coaching staff, with assistant Akeem Miskdeen celebrating the return of "PG1."

This decision comes on the heels of a storybook season for Cadeau and the Wolverines. Just days ago, he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four after orchestrating Michigan's thrilling run to its first national championship since 1989.

Cadeau's first season in Ann Arbor was a masterclass in floor leadership. After transferring from North Carolina, he averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 assists, serving as the primary facilitator for a championship offense. His game reached another level in the NCAA Tournament, especially after backup L.J. Cason's injury. During the title run, Cadeau elevated his play to 12.3 points and 7.5 assists per game, tying his season high with 19 points in the championship victory over UConn.

His impact was immediately recognized by Coach Dusty May, who once referred to Cadeau as a "wizard in the portal." Teammate Nimari Burnett highlighted the perfect fit, noting how May's trust helped unlock Cadeau's unselfish, high-IQ game.

With Cadeau returning for his senior year and fellow guard Trey McKenney also expected back, Michigan's starting backcourt is locked and loaded. The Wolverines aren't just defending a title; they're bringing back the wizard who helped conjure it, setting the stage for another exciting chapter in Ann Arbor.
