Fantasy expert consensus rankings (“ECR”) are starting to pop up across the Internet, giving managers an early glimpse into how the market might value hundreds of players this summer. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, here are the biggest Cowboys busts based on ECR.

Javonte Williams revived his once-promising career in 2025, amassing 1,338 offensive yards and 13 scores. He was fantasy’s overall RB12 and also the RB12 in points per game. So some managers might view his RB19 ECR as bargain territory.

But there’s a significant warning sign concerning last year’s sizable volume: 287 touches, easily surpassing his previous career high of 246 in 2021. He topped out in college at 183 touches in 2019. In other words, he hasn’t truly been tested as a bell cow, and when he was a rookie, he tore up his knee early the following year. Dallas handed him a guaranteed $16 million in February, signing him through the 2028 season. They will be more careful with him than they were in his 2025 one-and-done campaign.

CeeDee Lamb is the other likely bust. His WR4 ECR assumes George Pickens will be traded with no starter-caliber wideout signed in his place. Lamb’s fantasy greatness stems from 2023, when he was a one-man show in this aerial attack, en route to 23.7 points per game on 181 targets. That was the only time he’s topped 17.7 points, and in a relatively balanced offense, he should not be viewed as elite.
