The college basketball transfer portal never sleeps, and a major move is shaking up the Big Ten. Former Duke guard Darren Harris, a highly-touted 6-foot-5 prospect and former Gatorade Player of the Year, has committed to the Indiana Hoosiers for the 2026-27 season.

Harris entered the portal following Duke's Elite Eight loss to UConn, ending a two-year stint in Durham. Despite his elite high school pedigree—where he averaged 17.2 points and led his team to a 33-2 record—Harris saw limited playing time in a crowded Blue Devils backcourt behind stars like Cooper Flagg.

Now, with a fresh start under coach Darian DeVries in Bloomington, Harris looks to reclaim the form that made him a national recruit. Known as a sharpshooting wing with defensive upside, his move to Indiana could be the perfect catalyst for his collegiate career, offering him the minutes and role to finally showcase his potential on a big stage.
