Duke basketball has added its third transfer portal addition in Loyola Maryland transfer Jacob Theodosiou.

Duke basketball is heating up the transfer portal again, and the Blue Devils have just added another key piece to their roster for the upcoming season. Jacob Theodosiou, a 6-foot-4, 204-pound junior guard from Loyola Maryland, has officially committed to Duke and head coach Jon Scheyer. The announcement came on Saturday, May 2, making Theodosiou the third transfer portal addition for the program, joining John Blackwell (Wisconsin) and Drew Scharnowski (Belmont).

Theodosiou, a native of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, brings a solid all-around game to Durham. After starting his college career at Wyoming, he spent the last two seasons with the Greyhounds, where he really found his stride. During the 2025-26 season, he averaged an impressive 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while shooting 46.1% from the field. That kind of efficiency and versatility should be a welcome addition to a Duke backcourt that's already loaded with talent.

Speaking of talent, the Blue Devils are set to return several key players next season, including Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba II, Dame Sarr, Sebastian Wilkins, and Cayden Boozer. But that's not all—Duke is also bringing in the nation's top-rated recruiting class, featuring standout prospects like Cameron Williams, Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard, Maxime Meyer, and Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje. With this mix of returning experience and fresh talent, the Blue Devils are shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with.

It's worth noting that Duke finished the 2025-26 season with a stellar 35-3 overall record, sweeping both the ACC regular season and tournament titles. That kind of dominance sets a high bar, and Theodosiou's addition only adds to the excitement. For fans looking to gear up for what promises to be another thrilling season, now is the perfect time to stock up on Duke basketball apparel and show your Blue Devil pride.
